Our History
The history of this company is deeply linked to the roots of Panajachel, a place that has witnessed generations of effort and dedication. It all began with the great-grandparents, who paved the way with their work in the hospitality and coffee industries. One was a cook at a renowned hotel in the region when it was just opening its doors, while the other supervised production at a historic coffee farm, immortalized in works of art and national banknotes. One of the great-grandmothers even left her mark as the first street food vendor at the RN-1 highway stop, uniting travelers and locals with her seasoning.
The vision of turning that tradition into something bigger took shape 26 years ago, when the family started with a small booth in Panajachel. Inspired by the knowledge they inherited, the project began to grow, expanding first within the same town, then to Santiago Atitlán, and later to San Juan La Laguna. The opening of the first café in 2020 marked a new chapter, taking the fusion of tradition and modernity to another level.
Over the years, the focus on quality has been the driving force behind this evolution. The current generation, educated and professional, has taken on the challenge of innovating without losing its roots. From perfecting traditional techniques and recipes to implementing sustainable practices such as wastewater treatment systems, the commitment to leaving a positive impact is evident.
Today, this company combines the accumulated experience of generations with a modern and dynamic vision, becoming a benchmark in the region. What began as a small family dream has transformed into a brand that not only honors its past, but also looks confidently towards the future.
